Dear Reader,
I had a wonderful weekend with Kristen Hargrave of Orlando, FL, winner of my “Girls Only Dinner Party” and weekend trip to Denver. In addition to hosting six local authors at dinner, including 2015 RWA Golden Heart winner Kimberly Buckner, we packed in a few adventures, including a hike in the Flatirons in Boulder, and a day of horseback riding, shopping for homemade taffy, and lunch at Smokin’ Dave’s Barbecue in Estes Park.
Everyone brought a book to dinner to give to Kristen and explained why that book had a special meaning for them. I gave her CAPTIVE, my first Regency-era romance, and one of my favorite books. After dinner, the girls had fun raiding my bookcase, and I sent everyone home with a handful of autographed Joan Johnston novels.
This past weekend I had a chance to meet up with Linda Fontejon, who was my first pick for my “Girls Only Dinner Party,” but who had a family conflict, and therefore couldn’t come. We had a fabulous lunch at the Crab Pot in Seattle and talked books. Her favorites are FRONTIER WOMAN, COMANCHE WOMAN, and TEXAS WOMAN.
GREAT PRICE for a GREAT BOOK!
In case you haven’t read it yet, the very first book in my Bitter Creek series, THE COWBOY, will be selling for $2.99 (a discount from $7.99) in all venues from 8/25 to 9/4. Enjoy!
More Good News!
For those of you who’ve been waiting for Josie’s story, great news! I’m currently writing BLACKTHORNE’S BRIDE. I’ve been as anxious as you are to see what happened to the fourth Wentworth girl. It feels great to be getting the story from my head onto paper!
